Privacy notice
How JUNE uses personal information when you browse our website, send an enquiry or place an order.
Last updated: 29 August 2026
Who we are
JUNE is a sole-trader home bakery based in Farnborough, Hampshire, United Kingdom. For privacy questions, requests or complaints, contact my.june.bakery@gmail.com.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may process your name, telephone number or email address, delivery postcode, order details, enquiry and order communications, payment or payment-confirmation information, and your full delivery address after payment has been confirmed.
If you choose to tell us about an allergy or intolerance, we may also process the minimum health-related information needed to discuss whether we can safely fulfil your order.
How we use your information
We use personal information to respond to enquiries, check availability, prepare and fulfil orders, arrange delivery, process and reconcile payments, provide allergen information where requested, keep appropriate business and accounting records, and deal with complaints, fraud or payment disputes.
Our main lawful basis for enquiry and order information is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract and performing our contract with you. We may also process information to meet legal obligations, including accounting and tax requirements, and where necessary for our legitimate interests in operating JUNE, preventing fraud and handling disputes.
Allergy and intolerance information
Information about an allergy or intolerance can reveal health information and may be special category data. We do not ask you to enter detailed medical information on the website. If you choose to provide allergy or intolerance information, we ask for your explicit consent to use that information solely to handle the relevant enquiry or order. You can withdraw that consent by contacting us, although this does not affect processing already carried out lawfully and may mean we cannot safely continue with the order.
Who we share information with
We share information only where needed to run the service. Providers may include Cloudflare for website hosting and security; Postcodes.io to validate the delivery postcode you enter; WhatsApp/Meta or Google/Gmail when you communicate with us; Tyl by NatWest when you use a payment link; and our bank when you pay by bank transfer. We may also share relevant information with professional advisers, regulators, law-enforcement bodies or other parties where required by law or necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where UK data-protection rules on international transfers apply, we rely on the relevant provider's lawful transfer safeguards.
How long we keep information
- Basket selections: stored in your browser for up to 30 days after your last basket update so you can move between pages without losing your order.
- Enquiries that do not become orders: normally up to 3 months.
- Completed order records, relevant communications and delivery address: normally 12 months after the order.
- Allergy or intolerance information: normally no longer than 12 months after the relevant order, and shorter where it is no longer needed.
- Payment and accounting records: retained for the period required by applicable tax and accounting law.
- Disputes or legal claims: relevant records may be kept longer where reasonably necessary until the matter is resolved.
We may keep genuinely anonymised sales statistics, such as flavour, size, order value and general delivery area, for longer because they no longer identify a customer.
Website storage, cookies and analytics
The website stores your current basket in your own browser so your selections are not lost while you browse. This storage automatically expires after 30 days in this version of the website.
At launch, JUNE does not use advertising cookies, Meta Pixel, Google Analytics or similar marketing analytics. We do not use previous customers' contact details for marketing at launch. If this changes, we will update this notice and introduce any consent controls required at that time.
When you enter a postcode, it is sent to Postcodes.io so the website can check that it is a recognised UK postcode. The Food Hygiene Rating badge on the Order page is loaded from the Food Standards Agency website.
Payment information
If you pay through a Tyl by NatWest payment link, card-payment information is handled by the payment provider rather than being entered into JUNE's website. If you pay by bank transfer, your bank and our bank process the transaction. JUNE keeps the payment confirmation and business records needed to administer the order and meet our legal obligations.
JUNE is operated by Bohan Wang as a sole trader. If you have any questions about how we use your personal information, please contact my.june.bakery@gmail.com.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law gives you rights over your personal information, including rights to access, correct or erase information, restrict or object to certain processing, and receive certain information in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it.
To exercise a right or raise a privacy complaint, email my.june.bakery@gmail.com. We will consider your request or complaint and respond in accordance with applicable data-protection law. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you are unhappy with how your information has been handled: ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/.
Automated decisions
JUNE does not make decisions about customers using automated decision-making or profiling. Postcode validation is used only to check whether a postcode is recognised; delivery availability is confirmed personally by JUNE.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice if the way we collect or use information changes. The latest version will always be published on this page.
